Coaching Highlights:

During my twenty eight- years as coach, the Northwestern Boys Varsity Tennis team compiled a record of 328 wins and 122 losses, and qualified for the state tournament for twenty-six consecutive years. The team won the State championship in 2000, finished third three times, and in the top five on four other occasions.

In 1992, Northwestern won the League Championship with a 16 and 1 record. The team again won the League Championship in 1999, 2000 (undefeated), and 2001.

Nine Northwestern team members earned All-State honors. Twenty-four achieved All-League honors in either singles or doubles. In 1999, and again in 2001, the team’s number one player, was the State Class “S” singles champion. In 2000, team members were runners-up in both the State singles and doubles championships.

In 2003, the Montverde Girls’ team completed a 12 and 1 season, and finished second, by one point, to eventual regional winner Lake Highland Prep. The number one and two players were undefeated in dual match play in both singles and doubles.

In the past four years (2011-14), my West Orange boys’ teams have compiled a 52 and 6 record. The team was 14 and 1 in 2013, and 13 and 1 in 2014. The 2013 team was a District Runner-up. In 2014, both the West Orange boys’ and girls’ teams were District Champions, and both were Regional Finalists.
