Region 2 Co-Director – John Vinson – John Played high school tennis at both Leon High and Maclay school in Tallahassee, FL. Graduate of Maclay School in 1982. Played college tennis at Wake Forest Univ. from 82-86, earning MVP honors in 1985 and played #1 singles in 1986. Finished school in 1988 at Florida State Univ.(B.S. in Psychology) while serving as the Men’s Asst. Tennis Coach. Earned a Masters Degree in General Counseling at Louisiana Tech Univ. while serving as The Women’s Head Tennis Coach for two seasons. Head Coach of both the Men’s & Women’s Tennis Teams at Utah State Univ. for the 1990-91 season before taking the job as USTA Florida Section Director of Junior Player Development, based out of North Miami Bch. Moved back to Tallahassee with wife Kim (married in 1991) late in 1993. Served as the FSU Men’s Asst. Coach again from 94-99. Director of Tennis for Golden Eagle Country Club from 99-2001 before purchasing the Killearn Lakes Racquet & Swim Club which I still run with my wife KIm. We have a son Allen (17) and daughter Anna (15) who both play tennis for Lawton Chiles High School in Tallahassee. I was the tennis coach at Chiles the past 2 seasons before taking over the tennis program at my alma mater (Maclay) this Fall. firstname.lastname@example.org
Region 2 Co-Director – Lenin Mongerie – has been teaching tennis for 18 years. From the Virgin Islands, he competed in junior tennis tournaments while in the Virgin Islands. He has had the opportunity to travel around the world playing this wonderful sport. He traveled to China to play in the world university games (2001), Canada to play in the junior Davis Cup, El Salvador (Davis cup), and many other countries to partake in various ITF tournaments (Mexico, Aruba, St. Lucia, and many other countries). In 1998 he attended Florida A & M University and had the opportunity to play on the tennis team from 1998 to 2002. A USPTA certified instructor. He received the USPTA District instructor of the year in 2012.
Lenin has worked for the City Of Tallahassee for the last 13 years. He is President of the Venom Foundation in Tallahassee (a non- profit organization aimed at growing tennis in the lower income neighborhoods and teaching the importance of nutritionally-based foods). He is also on the TTA (Tallahassee Tennis Association) Board; also a non-profit organization aimed at growing tennis throughout Tallahassee on all levels. He serve as the TTA junior competitive member and is currently a tournament director for most of the USTA junior sanction tournaments in Tallahassee. He runs tennis programs on all levels such as quick start tennis, 10’s and under, junior competitive camps, senior tennis, & outreach programs. Region 3 Director – Dede Allen – Dede has been involved in tennis since her high school and college days. She first worked for Nick Bollettieri in the summers while she played college tennis at the University of Missouri. She has taught the pre-school TennisWhizz program, Jr. Team Tennis, High School, Top 25 DI College, Adult leagues, and is a trainer, an author and speaker. Allen is currently the Tennis Program Director at, Episcopal School of Jacksonville (ESJ), Jacksonville, FL and has been there since 2010.
Allen also functions as the Tennis Director of a residential community, St. Johns Golf and Country Club, St. Augustine, FL –since 2005. She organizes Womens’ teams and practices; runs the after-school program and conduct the summer camp program. Allen has been part of the USTA Ten-and-under Training staff since its inception in 2006. As a USTA National Faculty Member, she presents workshops for the National USTA Ten-and-Under trainings and workshops for the USTA Team Coaching program.
Allen was with the USTA from 1988 to June 2002 as the Administrator of USTA Junior Competition, for the USTA. In her role, Allen provided administrative guidance and support for national tournament directors in coordinating over 250 different age group events per year. She was Tournament Director of the U.S. Open Junior Championships for 14 years during her tenure. She served the USOC as the Commissioner for Tennis during 6 U.S. Olympic Festivals – she coordinated all areas (player selection, transportation, housing, uniforms, food, ticket, and accreditation) and on-site administration for these.
Allen organized and conducted the USTA National Junior Championship Tournament Directors Workshops and helped coordinate other special national and international events. She presented seminars for players and parents at national events. She was the liaison to Sectional Player Development Staff (1988-2002); Youth Competition and Training Committee (1988-2002), U.S. Olympic Festival Committee (1989-1995 – it was dissolved in 1995), ITF Juniors Committee (1988-2002).

Region 6 Director – Teresa Cunningham – Teresa has been involved in the tennis industry teaching and coaching for 25+ years. Prior to beginning a career in education in 1993, Teresa managed private tennis clubs and was the director of tennis. Teresa has been coaching high school tennis for the past 19 years, and has been the head Varsity Coach of both the men’s and women’s team at Winter Park High School since 2000.
One thing that Teresa is most proud of is the No-Cut JV Tennis Program that she began at Winter Park more than 10 years ago that has continued to give high school players of all levels the opportunity to play. This earned Teresa the honor of being a Finalist for the USTA “Starfish Award” in 2010. Last year, Teresa had the honor of being one of the coaches for the inaugural All-Star tournament that brought together many of the top senior tennis players in the State. firstname.lastname@example.org

Region 8 Director – Paula McCardle – Coach McCardle, was a runner in high school and college and then a avid tennis player who developed a love of tennis coaching while coaching many of her Teaching Pro husbands JTT teams.
In 1989 Paula McCardle coached Michellee Frye to the State Individual Championship As girls tennis coach of Haines City Lady Hornets the past 12 years she has also had a player receive a scholarship and go on to play college tennis for Georgia State. Paula can be reached at email@example.com
Region 9 Director – Jim Crane – 30 year Tennis Professional and a member of the Professional Tennis Registry & United States Tennis Association. A past USTA Training Center Head Coach, he was 1993 PTR Eastern Division Coach of the Year. As Satellite boys high school tennis coach, Jim has 4 trips to FHSAA State Championships. Region 10 Director – Walter Scherer – Graduated from the University of Michigan in 1960. Head Girls Tennis Coach for 17 years at Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida. Area Coach of the Year 8 times. Overall record 214-83. Coached the girls past 6 straight years to District, and Regional Championships, and trip to FHSAA State Championships. Plays Father/Daughter National tournaments with Daughter, Elizabeth, a West Point graduate, and 2-time All Army and All Service Women’s Champion. Dad also was All Army champion in 1961. Ranked Number 4 in nation in 2009 having won Silver Ball at National Clay Courts and Bronze Ball at National Indoors. Retired from competition after serious injury to Elizabeth. Region 11 Director – Brent Wellman –Coach Wellman has had a multitude of experience coaching and training athletes throughout his career on two courts–basketball courts and tennis courts. He is unique in having coached both Division I Men’s Basketball and Division I Women’s Tennis. He has also been a part of teaching sport-specific strength, speed, agility and conditioning at university, college, and tennis academy venues. Coach Wellman’s many years of experience, it breadth and depth, will be used to continue Impact Tennis and Fitness.
Scott Williams has been a true friend over many years, having worked at Scott’s camps over 14 years ago.
Brent shares, “Reuniting with Coach Scott Williams is not only a blessing to him, but to his family. There our many good tennis coaches but few with the character and integrity of Scott.”

Region 12 Director – Elizabeth Gabrielle – Elizabeth is a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to teaching lessons, Elizabeth assists Pine Crest Director of Tennis, Kasey Hamaway.
Originally from North Carolina, Elizabeth grew up playing junior tennis and is a high school state doubles champion. She went on to play for the University of North Florida, was a member of the 1994 National Championship team and in 1998 was inducted into the UNF Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon graduation, Elizabeth began a career in marketing with the Florida Marlins Baseball Club and later served as the Director of Youth Marketing for the American Heart Association. firstname.lastname@example.org

Region 14 Director – Mike Baugh – Mike is currently the Head Tennis Pro at Gateway Golf & Country Club and Head Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis Coach for Gateway Charter High School in Ft. Myers, FL. Originally from Southern Indiana, Mike played for the University of Evansville and Oakland City University before graduating with a degree in Biology ’06 and a Masters in ’07. He is the USPTA District 14 Vice President, USPTA U30 Marketing Committee Head, USPTA Florida Social Media Committee, on the USPTA Adaptive Tennis National Committee, and FHSTCA Region 14 Director. He was awarded the 2015 USPTA Florida District 14 Pro of the Year award and one of three recipients of the Welsh Winner Circle Scholarship!

Region 15 Director – Wayne Robertson – Wayne learned to play tennis on the red clay of Santiago, Chile, where he graduated from high school. He attended Liberty University and was a part of their tennis team for two years. Region 16 Director – Joe Curtis – Joe is at Jesuit High School in Tampa. Played college tennis at Florida State University. Currently has a 5.0 USTA rating. 18 years as head coach.
